P. Licinius Crassus M.f, 55 BC. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 4.25 g, 12 h), brockage mint error, Rome. S•C Laureate, diademed and draped bust of Venus to right. Rev. Incuse of obverse. Cf. Babelon (Licinia) 18, Crawford 430/1, RBW 1539, and Sydenham 929. A nicely toned and boldly struck brockage issue. Light marks, otherwise, good very fine.
